27 de oct. de 2011 · The first single board computer we did was an 8008. Paul Gilbert was our third partner in Traf-O-Data and he knew how to build things, so he actually did the wire wrapping. Paul and I went to Almac/Stroum Electronics and bought the processor for $360. It took a long time to build the machine but it actually worked.

Traf-O-Data was taking road volume data and converting it into reports where you have actually just a 16-channel paper tape on the side of the road. The pressure sensitive hose that you drive over has a counter in there clicking out a count every five, ten, or fifteen minutes.
9 de mar. de 2017 · Objectively speaking, Traf-O-Data was a failure as a company. Right as our business started to pick up, states began to provide their own traffic-counting services to local governments for free.
