Jessi Colter (born May 25, 1943) is perhaps best known as the wife of fellow musical "Outlaw" Waylon Jennings. However, for a brief period of time in the 1970s, she was one of Country Music's best-selling artists in her own right, acclaimed for her million-selling 1975 Country Pop crossover hit "I'm Not Lisa" and several best-selling albums.

I had seen both Jessi and her husband Waylon Jennings in concert in Gainesville, Florida with Jerry Reed at a small venue many years ago (‘82, ‘83ish) when I lived in Central Florida briefly the first time.

16 de oct. de 2017 · For the price, and the length (18 tracks) it is hard to imagine there is a better bargain out there for Jessi Colter fans. I took a chance on this because I liked her work on the "White Mansions" civil-war CD created by Paul Kennerly back around 1978, and I remembered liking Jessi's big hit, "I'm Not Lisa."
Jessi Colter is, of course, the woman who was strong enough to sing and live and hold her own with Waylon Jennings, to keep him together for a very long time — and the most significant female talent to arise from the outlaw/progressive country outbreak of the 1970s.
