Although the Orchestra's intro is almost unhearable and useless for about 1'50", when the real song starts, it is a great moment. This song is my second fave on the original album (together with "Highway Star" and it is not too bad a mix this time). Jon plays a good key solo and Ian is hitting his drum like crazy.

While what resulted--specifically, their Concerto for Group and Orchestra--was pretty fearful stuff, it did, for better or for worse, pave the way for a generation of classically influenced heavy-rock bands: King Crimson , Yes , and Queen , among others.

16 de jun. de 2009 · I saw an unfortunate review of this DVD from someone who clearly hadn’t done any research before buying. This is the concert, at the Albert Hall again, when the Concerto came back to life. It features Deep Purple, the London Symphony Orchestra and many of Jon’s musical friends.
