The Downward Spiral is the second studio album by the American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, released on March 8, 1994, by Nothing Records in the United States and Island Records in Europe. It is a concept album detailing the self-destruction of a man from the beginning of his misanthropic "downward spiral" to his suicidal breaking point.

Trent Reznor has always had a knack for choosing good remixes, and on this album, it was his most consistent outing yet. The Downward Spiral was a dark, atmospheric record, and Further Down the Spiral uses thit as a launching pad. The remixes plunge into the dark and return the songs back in the form of twisted mutations.

Further Down the Spiral ist eine Remix-EP des Nine-Inch-Nails-Albums The Downward Spiral aus dem Jahre 1994.. Darauf waren Beiträge von Nine Inch Nails selbst, aber auch Remixe von Rick Rubin, J. G. Thirlwell (Foetus), Charlie Clouser, Aphex Twin und anderen. Das Album erschien in den USA und Europa in zwei unterschiedlichen Versionen, die sich teilweise überschneiden.
