Gone to Earth, my criticisms apart, is worth buying- there are still many sublime songs here, though as an album it's not as perfect as Brilliant Trees or Secrets of the Beehive. The guitar soundscapes have recurred in Sylvian's later work- 1991's Blackcrow Hits Shoeshine City, 1993's Jean the Birdman & 1999's Pollen Path for example.
