This Quarterflash uses members of the other band which the Rosses founded (The Trail Band) to provide instruments (such as pennywhistles, or fiddles) which were never in the original Quarterflash. The music is also more jazzy in some songs (notably "Crazy Quilt", "Goodbye Uncle Buzz", "Trying to Find a New Way" and "Nothing Runs as Deep as You"), while the other songs defy easy catagorization.

Dix-sept années après "Girl in the Wind", Quarterflash effectue un retour inattendu avec l’album studio "Goodbye Uncle Buzz". En 2008, on lui octroie également le Western Oregon University's Alumni Award of Excellence. Sorti sous le label Ross Productions, le sixième album studio de Quarterflash, "Love Is a Road", voit le jour en 2013.
