Squeezing Out Sparks is the fourth studio album by English singer-songwriter Graham Parker and his band the Rumour. The album was released in March 1979. Although the Rumour were not credited on the cover, their name was included on the album label.

By 1979, Parker, backed by a fantastic group of former pub rock musicians known as the Rumour, had recorded three albums of horn-infused soulful rock and roll, when he decided he needed to take a different direction.
Later Terre Haute pressing is similar to Terre Haute pressing Squeezing Out Sparks but this has "NORTH SPUR PRODUCTIONS, INC" credit added to the labels at the bottom. Also similar to later variant Squeezing Out Sparks, but with earlier, less stylized "ARISTA" near the top. Runouts: - String is mostly etched with sᴛᴇʀʟɪɴɢ stamped.
