We decided the best approach to translating the album live was adding some new players to the mix: Brandt Sandeno, Unwound’s original drummer and a contributor to much of Leaves, became our live keyboard player; David Scott Stone, an old time compadre from Los Angeles and recent Melvins tour “gun-forhire,” our second guitar player.

Leaves Turn Inside You is the seventh and final studio album by the American post-hardcore band Unwound, released on April 17, 2001 by Kill Rock Stars. The album received critical acclaim from several music publications. Marking the return of original drummer and co-founder Brandt Sandeno who had switched to keyboards and guitar, it is the only studio album to feature all four members.

They were formed in 1991 by Justin Trosper (guitars and vocals), Vern Rumsey (bass), and Brandt Sandeno (drums), all of whom had previously been in a band called Giant Henry.Brandt Sandeno quit Unwound in 1992 and was replaced by Sara Lund.
19 de abr. de 2013 · Brandt Sandeno was living in Olympia and we did a lot of jamming and recording with our other band, Replikants, out at this farmhouse. So Brandt kind of fell into this vacuum and ended up doing more engineering and playing on the record. Actually, the Replikants record was sort of a practice recording for theLeaves sessions.

She is best known as the drummer for the post-hardcore Olympia, Washington band Unwound for a decade until their break up in 2002. Lund was playing for Witchypoo when she joined Unwound in 1992 replacing original drummer Brandt Sandeno.
