P ete de Freitas, nacido en Puerto España, capital de Trinidad y Tobago, fue el batería de la famosa banda de Liverpool, Echo and the Bunnymen. Pete entró en esta banda en el 79 para remplazar a la caja de ritmos con la que habían tocado hasta entonces.
