Neil Edward Conti passed away suddenly at his home in Bellmawr, NJ on December 9th, 2023. Age 66. Neil was born in Middle Township, NJ on April 15th, 1957. He grew up in Cape May County with his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Neil graduated from Ocean City High School, Class of 1975.

Neil began to play around the age of 6 and became an accomplished classical pianist, encouraged by his cousin Morgan Fisher, the long-time keyboard player in Mott The Hoople. Switching to drums at 12 and moving to London in 1979 he toured Europe and recorded the first five albums with Prefab Sprout, playing on all of their most treasured recordings.
