27 de jul. de 2023 · La banda comienza a tomar forma hacia comienzos de 1971, cuando el guitarrista Sylvain Sylvain conoció al baterista colombiano Billy Murcia, quien trabaja enfrente del hospital Doll de Nueva York (de ahí radica el origen del nombre de la banda).Ese mismo año se sumó Johnny Thunders y así el embrión de los Dolls comenzó a tocar durante unos meses hasta que Sylvain decidió mudarse a Londres.
