Hace 5 días · The dome, which was designed by Brunelleschi, was constructed between 1420 to 1436. The Florence Cathedral was consecrated on March 25, 1436, by Pope Eugene IV. The ceiling of the dome was painted with scenes from The Last Judgement. The work began in 1572 by Giorgio Vasari and it took 7 years to finish the frescoes.
