Jon Carin (* 21. Oktober 1964 in New York) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, Songwriter und Musikproduzent. Bekannt wurde Carin durch die Zusammenarbeit mit der britischen Rockband Pink Floyd, sowie mit deren Gitarristen David Gilmour, als Solist und dem Gründungsmitglied der Band Roger Waters, während seiner Solokarriere.
All of The Later Years was mixed in the box on a computer by someone else, so it’s pretty hard on the old ears. In my opinion, James should be used exclusively for the PF catalog. Jon Carin was pivotal in the Gilmour-led Pink Floyd. The live shows were all played on digital keyboards and synths, Carin is confirmed to have done most of the sampling and programming, basically out-Wrighting Wright in the digital age. He’s playing most of Wright’s parts live where Wright sticks to basic piano and organ sounds.
