Selain Benetton F1, Briatore juga sukses mengontrol tim Équipe Ligier sebelum akhirnya dijual kepada Alain Prost di akhir 1996. Pada 1998 ia keluar dari Benetton dan membentuk Supertec Sport sebagai pemegang nama Renault yang saat itu juga keluar dari ajang F1. Flavio Briatore kemudian kembali ke Benetton pada musim 2000.

Flavio Briatore, né le 12 avril 1950 à Verzuolo, est un homme d'affaires italien, directeur commercial de Benetton puis directeur des écuries de Formule 1 Benetton Formula de 1989 à 1997 et Renault F1 Team de 2000 à 2009, fondateur de Billionaire Couture en 2005.
