William "Bill" Paxton, född 17 maj 1955 i Fort Worth i Texas, död 25 februari 2017 i Los Angeles i Kalifornien, [1] var en amerikansk skådespelare och regissör. Bill Paxton är känd från filmer som Aliens - Återkomsten (1986), Apollo 13 (1995), Twister (1996) och Titanic (1997), studerade vid New Yorks universitet , och vann priset Saturn Award för bästa manliga biroll i Aliens .
In 1996, aboard the research vessel Akademik Mstislav Keldysh, treasure hunter Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton) and his team explore the wreck of RMS Titanic, searching for a valuable diamond necklace called the Heart of the Ocean. The wreck rests on the ocean floor, 3821 meters below the surface.
Leben. Bill Paxton wurde in Fort Worth als Sohn von Mary Lou und John Lane Paxton geboren. Im Alter von 18 Jahren zog er nach Los Angeles, wo er sich als Dekorateur und Kulissenhilfe verdingte. 1975 stand Paxton für den Film Verrückte Mama das erste Mal vor der Kamera. 1981 wurde er von James Cameron für den Film Galaxie des Schreckens für das Szenenbild verpflichtet.
