Rosario Dawson was confirmed to be reprising her role as Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian with the series' announcement in December 2020; Dawson took over from Ashley Eckstein, who voiced Ahsoka in the animated series. In July 2021, Dawson acknowledged rumors that Ezra Bridger and Thrawn would be in the series.
