A pesar de que la mujer fatal del cine negro se repite en miles de historias, la reina del arquetipo podría ser Rita Hayworth en la Gilda (1946). La película nos remite al Perro del Hortelano de Lope de Vega, donde Diana no puede amar a Teodoro y, por eso, no le deja amar a alguien más.

Her father, Eduardo Cansino Reina, was a dancer as was his father before him. He emigrated from Spain in 1913. Rita's American mother, Volga Margaret (Hayworth), who was of mostly Irish descent, met Eduardo in 1916 and were married the following year.
