7 de abr. de 2003 · #1 · Apr 7, 2003. I was greasing up the drive shafts on my G this evening. The u-joints took the expected 2 to 3 strokes to replace the old grease. The center grease nipple for the slip joint in each shaft seemed bottomless. Is there a point where the grease will come out of the slip joint?

You better replace your driveshaft before it breaks not after, because when it breaks when you're going fast and you loose drive it's not a very good experience. This is how you check it. Better do this regularly because drives driveshaft failure in W169 and W245 is common.
27 de feb. de 2010 · Without dropping that ARB, the joint does squeeze through the gap, but only just, and you have to find the exact angle for the CV joint and shaft for it to fit. It takes a few minutes to do and will save you a lot of hassle.
