10 de ene. de 2009 · Wallace Residence. Paul Rudolph moved with his parents and three sisters - Mildred, Marie and Ruth - to Athens, Alabama in 1936. He went to Athens High School and during this time met Frances Garth Wallace. The project scope is to design a residence for John Warner Wallace (1924-2009) and Frances Garth Wallace (1924-2015).
Rudolph worked with former Tuskegee Institute professors John A. Welch and Louis Fry on the chapel’s design. The present-day chapel contains reproductions of the original chapel's stained glass "Singing Windows" that portrayed African American spirituals. The building was completed in 1969 with 1,200,000 bricks made and laid by Tuskegee students.
