Talking about the title of the new album, Chrissie Hynde said in a press statement: "I enjoy seeing the various meanings and origins of a word."

The record, which is aptly titled Standing in the Doorway: Chrissie Hynde Sings Bob Dylan, will be released on May 21st via BMG.. There are nine songs in total on the album, and Hynde recorded each one during the coronavirus pandemic with some help from her Pretenders bandmate James Walbourne.
