27 de sept. de 2022 · Little Walter was taking a break from performing at a venue in Chicago when a fight broke out on the night of February 15, 1968 (via OffBeat). He was hit in the head during the fight and went to bed with a headache, only to never awaken again. He was only 37 years old.
The official cause of death on his death certificate was coronary thrombosis (a blood clot in the heart); evidence of external injuries was so insignificant that the police reported that his death was due to "unknown or natural causes", and no external injuries were noted on the death certificate.

Influenced by guitarists as well as by senior harmonica players, he brought a singular variety of phrasing to the blues harmonica.
