The Loudness Wars rage on! I would recommend Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy, The Kids Are Alright soundtrack, or -- if you can find it --The Who Collection from 1988. At the very least, The Very Best of The Who (circa 1995-96) - which is pretty loud, but isn't brick-walled with compression.
