As a 1st time visitor to NI, it quickly becomes apparent that shopping is a very different experience here. We felt that Ballymena overall is 'on the up', especially compared with many mainland UK towns which are definitely not! Some nice, niche and upmarket brands coming in, mixed in with the expected Boots, discount and pop-up shops.
