Lead them into traps or just avoid them as best you can. While Kevin does have weapons these are very ineffective on the enemies in the game so mostly pointless. After that, get some pizza from the cough and bounce up to grab the bird. Now head left two screens and do the same bouncy thing to obtain a second bird.
