You're delusional. Scatting has long been a staple in rock and roll. Think of songs like Surfin' Bird or The Witch Doctor. Performances also alluded to sex, like Elvis swaying his hips, and even the name of the genre, rock and roll, is a euphemism for sex. The Cramps just turned this all up to 11 for a punk rock exploration of that genre of music.

Tear It Up by The Cramps was written by Paul Burlison, Dorsey Burnette and Johnny Burnette and was first released by Johnny Burnette and The Rock 'n Roll Trio in 1956. The Cramps released it on the album Songs the Lord Taught Us in 1980. It was covered by Cool Operator, Wild Angels, The Bad Boys [GB2], Betty and The Bops and other artists.
