L.S. Lowry, właśc. Laurence Stephen Lowry (ur. 1 listopada 1887 w Stretford, zm. 23 lutego 1976 w Glossop) – brytyjski malarz. Wiele jego obrazów i rysunków przedstawia miejscowość Pendlebury, gdzie mieszkał i pracował przez ponad 40 lat. Oprócz tego na jego obrazach można znaleźć miasto Salford i jego okolice.
Lawrence Stephen Lowry (* 1.November 1887 in Manchester; † 23. Februar 1976 in Mottram in Longdendale), vorwiegend als L. S. Lowry bekannt, war ein englischer Künstler, der im Stadtteil Old Trafford in Manchester geboren wurde. Der Großteil seiner Bilder stellt die Stadt Salford dar, in der der Künstler über 30 Jahre lang gelebt und gearbeitet hat.

7 de nov. de 2023 · Lowry passed away in 1976, aged 88. Rohde’s biography – authorised by his estate – was published three years later, under the title A Private View of L.S. Lowry.It told the story of an idiosyncratic man who’d had had a troubled relationship with his mother (he was an only child, and Mrs Lowry seems to have blamed him for her failed career as a concert pianist).
