Christina Oiticica nació en 1951 en Rio de Janeiro, donde comenzó sus estudios en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes a los 18 años. En sus comienzos, decidió inclinarse por la arquitectura, hasta 1990 cuando decidió que su vínculo con el arte era definitivamente la pintura, tras pasar por el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.

Christina Oiticica (Rio de Janeiro, 1951) és una artista plàstica i pintora brasilera. És també la muller de l'escriptor Paulo Coelho. [1] Formada a l'Escola de Belles Arts i al Museu d'Art Modern de Rio de Janeiro, Oiticica va completar la seva formació a la Facultat d'Arquitectura Bennett de la mateixa ciutat i al Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
