  5. Dinah Shore (døpt Frances Rose Shore; født 29. februar 1916, død 24. februar 1994) var en amerikansk sanger, skuespiller og fjernsynspersonlighet. Hun nådde toppen av sin popularitet som plateartist i storbandperioden på 1940- og 1950-tallet, men fikk enda større suksess ett tiår senere i fjernsynsmediet, hovedsakelig som vertinne for en rekke av populære varietéprogrammer for Chevrolet.

  7. Dinah Shore was born Frances Rose Shore on February 29, 1916, in Winchester, Tennessee. At 18 months old, Shore was stricken with polio, but shortly recovered. In 1938, she graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in sociology. Following graduation Shore moved to New York City, to pursue a singing career.
