Michael Brecker (Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), 29 maart 1949 – New York, 13 januari 2007) was een Amerikaans jazz-saxofonist. Hij won 15 Grammy's, zowel als artiest als componist. Seeing him silenced at the height of his powers—he was only 57 when he passed—was a huge blow to the jazz community. One can only imagine how much music he had left in him.
