The Informers (U.S. title:Underworld Informers; also known as The Rape of the Underworld) is a 1963 British crime film directed by Ken Annakin and starring Nigel Patrick, Margaret Whiting, Harry Andrews, Derren Nesbitt and Colin Blakely. It was produced by William MacQuitty, with screenplay by Paul Durst and Alun Falconer from the novel Death of a Snout by Douglas Warner.

"The Informers" trifft den kalten und gefühlsarmen Stil von Ellis Romanen, z.T. besser als es die Verfilmung von "Rules of Attraction" geschafft hat. Die Figuren, das Set, das alles unterstreicht die Vorlage. Die aber eine Kurzgeschichtensammlung war, was man dem Film manchmal anmerkt. Und bei manchen Details haben sie den Roman entschärft.
