23 de abr. de 2024 · The school was established by Julius Hartt and Moshe Paranov in 1920 and was one of the three founding institutions of the University of Hartford in 1957. Alongside the traditional performance-oriented majors in music, dance, and theatre, the school offers programs in music history, music theory, ballet pedagogy, music education, and composition.
The Hartt School accepts prescreening submissions from Actor Training and Music Theatre applicants until December 15 for those who are applying for the following academic year. During the application window, prescreens can be uploaded to Acceptd or through your University of Hartford applicant portal.
The Hartt School is planning to host in-person/on-campus auditions and interviews for the 2023 admission cycle. Applicants will be contacted by Hartt Admission to schedule an audition and/or interview after they submit their application to the University of Hartford. Virtual auditions will continue to be accepted by request.
