Colin John Newman is an English musician, record producer and record label owner. He is best known as the primary vocalist and songwriter for the post-punk band Wire.

Guitarist and primary music writer Colin Newman had a lot of music though he wanted to get released and most Wire fans and myself find "A-Z" to be what would have been in all probability the fourth Wire album had they not stepped aside for a short time.
