David Wright, in 2013, was named to his seventh All-Star Game, his fifth as a starter, and joined Ron Hunt as the only Met to start an All-Star Game in their home ballpark. On September 20, 2013, Wright hit his 221st home run, passing Mike Piazza for second place on the Mets career home run list. Only Darryl Strawberry (252) remains ahead of Captain America.
