However, the latter day interest in the NWOBHM movement and then the resurgence of Doom Metal has placed a renewed focus on the band.
But the legacy of witchcraft is so engrained in the history of East Anglia that for a long time, the entire region was unable to shake the stigma and association with witches, witchcraft and witch hunting. You see, East Anglia was home to Matthew Hopkins, the self-appointed Witchfinder General, who terrorised the country between 1644 and 1647.

15 de mar. de 2022 · Matthew Hopkins – Witchfinder General. Matthew Hopkins was a real person. His work, hunting out witches in East Anglia, is well documented. He said that the Puritan Parliament gave the title “Witch-finder General” to him. It is thought Hopkins was born in Little Wenham, in Suffolk, in the 1620’s, but very little is known of his early life.
