The Swans, one of the most significant bands of the 1980s, initially introduced themselves as New York's claustrophobic and paranoid alter-ego of Britain's gothic punk, but were largely the vehicle for Michael Gira's apocalyptic angst, Filth (1983), featuring two drums (Roli Mosimann and Jonathan Kane) and two basses, was the ideal soundtrack for mass suicides or nuclear holocausts.
SWANS have announced a European tour for February and March 2024.The tour details, which are shared on the heels of a triumphant tour across Europe, N America, and the UK, will see the current incarnation of Swans perform in theatres, churches and festivals – starting from 7 February through to mid-March – with support from Maria W Horn.Full details below.
