Bare was born in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of singer Jeannie Bare (née Sterling) and country musician Bobby Bare, Sr. [3] His parents met in 1963, when his father hired Bare's mother to join his act as a singer. [4] Bare's mother, Jeannie, was a shopkeeper in Nashville. [5] Bare has a younger brother, Shannon, and a younger sister, Angela.
Bobby Bare is an American country music singer and songwriter. He is best known for his hits "Detroit City" and "500 Miles Away from Home". He has released more than 70 albums and has charted more than 40 singles on the Billboard country music charts. He has won two Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2020.
