Arthur Bernard Alexander, Jr. (* 10. Mai 1940 in Florence, Alabama; † 9. Juni 1993 in Nashville, Tennessee) war ein US-amerikanischer Soulsänger, Songschreiber und Pionier des Southern Soul.Er ist der einzige Künstler, dessen Kompositionen zu Lebzeiten auf Studioalben der Bands The Beatles und The Rolling Stones, von Otis Redding und von Bob Dylan verewigt wurden.
