Morton Group began with the opening of La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas in December 2010. The sexy hideaway celebrates wine and pairs it with a menu as enticing as a coveted vintage. La Comida followed in May 2013, in the funky Downtown Fremont East District, offering a menu inspired by the cosmopolitan flavors of Mexico City, and proudly boasting more tequilas than seats.
Morton is the son of Arnie Morton, founder of the Morton's Steakhouse chain. His father was of Jewish descent. In 1969, he graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S.B.A. in restaurant and hotel management. His twin sister is Pam Morton; and his half-brother is restaurateur and businessman Michael Morton.
