Primal Scream's 'Dixie Narco' EP is not so much a shortcut to, than an extension of their 'Screamadelica' album. The first track, 'Movin' On Up,' is by now a rock standard and one that most will be familiar with. It's a groove that is worth buying this EP for alone if anyone doesn't already own the song.

In chiusura trova posto una versione non definitiva di “Screamadelica”, title track che sarà palesata soltanto l’anno successivo nell’Ep “Dixie Narco”. L’uso dei sampler e il netto spostamento verso una direzione dance-oriented rappresentarono una radicale sterzata nei confronti di tutto ciò che i Primal Scream erano stati fino a quel momento.
