Michael Curtiz, syntymänimeltään Manó Kertész Kaminer, (24. joulukuuta 1886 Itävalta-Unkari – 10. huhtikuuta 1962 Yhdysvallat) oli elokuvaohjaaja, joka ohjasi muun muassa Casablancan ja Hollywood-elokuvan Sinuhe, egyptiläinen, joka perustuu kirjailija Mika Waltarin teokseen Sinuhe egyptiläinen.
1. Casablanca (1942) “Casablanca” is a romantic drama film directed by Michael Curtiz and released in 1942. The film is set during World War II and tells the story of a bitter and cynical American expatriate named Rick Blaine (played by Humphrey Bogart), who runs a nightclub in Casablanca, Morocco.
Michael Curtiz (* 24.Dezember 1886 in Budapest, Österreich-Ungarn, als Manó Kaminer, seit 1905 Mihály Kertész; † 11. April 1962 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Kalifornien, USA) war ein ungarisch-amerikanischer Filmregisseur.Während seiner über 50-jährigen Karriere inszenierte er über 160 Filme. Zunächst arbeitete er in Ungarn und Österreich, ehe er Mitte der 1920er nach Hollywood ging.
