10 Cloverfield Lane má s hororem společného opravdu pramálo. Schází mu atmosféra, absentuje napětí a především se neskutečně vleče. Stopáž v délce 105 minut byla zvolena zcela nepatřičně, jelikož kromě již zmíněných nedostatků si divák nevybuduje ani žádný hlubší vztah k postavám a jejich osud je mu tedy víceméně lhostejný.
