In fact records show that on the 12th October, 1782 a lease was signed for an old house in Kilkenny making St Kieran’s the oldest Catholic College in the country and ‘the first Catholic College in the Kingdom’.

    It is what we do in St Kieran’s College. To verify this we need only reflect on the continued breadth of achievements of our students which in this past year saw five of them attain the maximum points in their Leaving Certificate, 10% get 550 points or more, 20% get 500 points or more, 40% get 450 points or more and 51% get 400 points or more.
