In 2021, Somerville College became one of the UK's first Colleges of Sanctuary. Our commitment to supporting the millions of people who today find themselves displaced by war, persecution and climate change is an extension of our College’s historic commitment to support sanctuary-seeking students and academics, which dates back to the 1930s.
