Neil Welliver (American, 1929-2005) is best known for his large-scale, vivid paintings and woodcuts of the remote Maine wilderness. His works are represented in numerous collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Boston's Museum of Fine Arts and the Farnsworth Art Museum.
