Deep Purple's 2nd studio album "Book of Taliesen" was released in 1968, recorded only 3 months after their debut album's release "Shades of Deep Purple". Even though the band at that time was not having successful record sales, the record company could see the dollar signs because their concerts were well attended and they were considered one of the top underground bands.
I just picked up a copy of The Book of Taliesyn (TBOT) and the back of the cover is for the album "Shades of Deep Purple". The record contained within is indeed TBOT. Is this something anyone is familiar with? I wonder how rare this might be. Tetragrammaton T-102 from 1968.
