John Glen (born 15 May 1932) is an English film director and editor best known for directing For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights, and Licence to Kill. John Glen was born in 1932 in Sunbury-on-Thames, a suburb of London in South East England. He lived there with his parents and two sisters Margaret and Joyce. In 1939 when John was seven, his family heard the declaration of war on the radio, and the next day they constructed a makeshift air raid shelter.

MPs. John Glen was born in Bath in 1974 and was brought up into a small family horticultural business in rural Wiltshire. His mother and uncle were born in Salisbury and his grandfather and great-grandfather lived and worked in the City during The Blitz. John was married to Emma (m.2008 – 2021) and he has two step children: William and Emily.
