Back To The Egg est le neuvième et dernier album studio de Wings, le groupe ayant acquis deux nouveaux membres, le guitariste Laurence Juber et le batteur Steve Holly. L’album a vu Paul travailler aux côtés du producteur Chris Thomas, qui s’était formé en tant que producteur lors de l’enregistrement du classique éponyme des Beatles de 1968 (l’album blanc).
