This CD was recorded at the 2005 Blues Brunch with Michael Coleman's group acting as the core band. Also features Willie Kent, Bonnie Lee, Little Arthur Duncan (all three now passed away making this disc all the more crucial), Lurrie Bell, Steve Freund, Zora Young, Shirley Johnson, Tail Dragger and Aaron Moore.
In June Chicago's celebrating the annual Blues Festival, and Delmark Records hosts its blues brunch at the Jazz Record Mart, the fabulous record store owned by label boss Bob Koester. Last year, Michael Coleman and his band delivered fine support for a couple of local blues players and singers that dropped in. Michael, long-time guitarist in James Cotton's band, really loved to play that sunday.
