Larger than Life was recorded in King's home state of Texas in 1975 at The Armadillo Headquarters in Austin, (I'm not 100% sure the venue is in Austin so excuse me if I'm wrong.) This album apparently was too short with just the live cuts they had so they went into the studio and recorded the first three tracks that on the album.
