Ark 2 is a strange mix of british late 60´s psychedelia, pop and tunes that sound like a musical soundtrack from that period. In fact, I think it would have worked much better if indeed there was a musical play to go along with those songs. Without it, it simply sounds pretensions, pompous and silly.

A half hour set from German television recorded in December 1970 and broadcast on WDR Koln Germany shows the young psych/progressive rockers just prior to the point where they broke up. 22 de abr. de 2007 · Flaming Youth kept performing for a while, they brought in saxophone player Dave Brock, went to Spain, and gave historical performance in Lyceum Theatre with an orchestra and choir (I wish the tapes of this concert to re-surface one day!), but were getting exhausted .The last concert was played in Plymouth.This album comes as a revelation, and indisputably is a must if you admire good music
